Brandi Amadio Nolish
Brandi Amadio Nolish began her life as a musician at the age of 10. It was during that year at her elementary school in Tarpon Springs, Florida, that she first heard a cello and decided that was it for her. A graduate from the Hartford Conservatory, in 2000, Brandi took her Diploma in Jazz and Classical Performance to continue her musical pursuits at the University of Connecticut, Storrs. Mrs. Nolish earned her BA in Music, with a Minor in Psychology in 2004, from the University of North Florida, Jacksonville. Her musical education then took her to Cleveland, OH, where she earned her Masters in Performance at Cleveland State University in 2006. Through out her musical training, Brandi has studied with esteemed cellists: Theresa Villani (avid performer and artist, Palm Harbor, FL); Jennifer Combs (avid performer and staff at the Julliard School, NY); Mary Lou Rylands (Avid performer and founder of the New Directions Cello Festival, VT); Laurie Casseday (performer and member of the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, FL); and Bryan Dumm and David Alan Harrell (of the Cleveland Orchestra, OH).
Mrs. Nolish's performance repertoire expands the genres of chamber, classical and orchestral music; as well as contemporary, improvisation, jazz, musical theater, and performance art. With over ten years of experience Mrs. Nolish has shared her musical experience, taught privately, and coached ensembles in a various settings, including the Chamber Music Retreat at Music Mountain (Falls Village, CT 1999-2000). Brandi was also an active member with Body and Soul - The Art of Healing, a program that proposed to "nourish and elevate the spirit...in a healthcare environment" (Jacksonville, FL 2002-2003). Currently, Mrs. Nolish enjoys being active in performance and private instruction. |
